Patent Policy and Practice in the University Environment

- TDG First Friday UCLA Technology Development Group: First Friday at TDG

Gates & Cooper LLP, Intellectual Property Law

JA Kemp

About the presentation:

Let UCLA’s patent counsel deconstruct the mysterious world of patenting. Come to a seminar on the nuts and bolts, general philosophy and process behind getting a patent.   Topics include the role of researchers/inventors from the time of invention to the issuance of a patent.  Also discussed are authorship and inventorship, public disclosures and how to avoid potential pitfalls as applied to specific technology areas.  Help make the patent application process easier (and more fun) for everyone.
