Bruin Founders - Program Details

About Program

Bruin Founders is a free Mentor-in-Residence (MIR) program by UCLA Ventures aimed at serving the entrepreneurial ecosystem. The MIR program seeks to offer hands-on guidance with added support from our member community of UCLA alumni & affiliates. This is a year-long structured program where innovators and aspiring entrepreneurs can connect with established MIRs for tailored advice on moving from concept to commercialization and beyond.

Mentor-in-Residence

 

  • Serial entrepreneur with experience taking companies to market
  • Able to identify big market opportunities
  • Background in new product development
  • Experienced Industry professional
  • Curious, driven individual open to the next opportunity

 

Commitment
  • 12-month renewable engagement
  • Part-time monthly commitment
  • MIRs vetted by UCLA Ventures and UCLA Technology Development Group
  • MIRs compensated via monthly stipend to cover variable expenses
  • Matching done based on expertise and project needs

 

Startup Mentees

 

  • Must be UCLA alumni, faculty or student.
  • All stages of development: Stealth through Series B
  • Willing to meet and engage with MIR on a regular basis.
  • Have at least 1 person dedicated to the team.
  • Graduate from at least one fo the incubator or accelerator programs under the eligiblity tab.
