About UCLA Ventures

UCLA Ventures, a department under the UCLA Technology Development Group, supports UCLA-affiliated startups, faculty, students, staff and alumni via a variety of programs that serve innovators at all stages of development. Our goal is to aid in the transition from idea to market through startup creation, funding, education, and success. UCLA Ventures programs include Startup in a Box, Bruin Founders, Pitch Gym, an exclusive Philanthropic Community, and entrepreneurial ecosystem events.

Bruin Founders is a mentor-in-residence program by UCLA Ventures that is interested in supporting the broader UCLA entrepreneurial ecosystem.Through a new program our office will offer tailored mentorship via seasoned entrepreneurs looking to propel the next generation of Bruin founders forward. Brija Johnson is the Program Director for UCLA Ventures. Leveraging her previous venture background and experience as the Technology Scouting Manager overseeing the TDG-Starburst SCALE initiative, Brija will now focus on supporting entrepreneurs from the broader community of UCLA alumni, faculty, and friends, with an emphasis on underrepresented entrepreneurs. Prior to joining TDG, Brija worked as a Program Manager for Springboard Enterprises and was a Scholar in Residence at Zane Venture Fund. Brija holds a BS in International Business and a BS in Marketing with a minor in Technology Entrepreneurship from the Robert H. Smith School of Business.
