Josh Jeanson, M.S, J.D

Josh Jeanson serves as the Senior Director of Business Development for the Physical Science & Engineering team. Josh Jeanson has built a career identifying, protecting, and commercializing intellectual property created in academic research labs. Josh joined UCLA TDG in 2025 from the University of Pennsylvania’s Penn Center for Innovation where he served as the Senior Associate Director with responsibilities to the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, the School of Arts and Sciences, the Weitzman School of Design, and the Wharton School. Prior to this he was the licensing manager for the School of Engineering & Applied Science for the UVA Licensing & Ventures Group and had been the Director of the Office for Entrepreneurship and Technology Transfer at Mississippi State University.  Along with his licensing experience, Josh has supported several technology based new ventures opportunities; including: Vivodyne, AlphaThera, Neuralert, Agni Semiconductor,  Mission Secure, Laser Thermal, and MadiDrop.
Josh received a BS in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Mississippi where he was a NASA Space Grant Scholar. Josh is a graduate of the Law School of the University of Mississippi and received an MS in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Mississippi State University.
