Abril Morales

Abril Morales is a PhD candidate in the Molecular Biology Interdepartmental Program at UCLA and expected to complete her degree in late 2024. Her thesis work in Dr. William Lowry’s lab seeks to understand the stress-induced pathways and metabolomic disturbances of monogenic intellectual disability disorders using stem cell-derived models. Prior to this, her other research experiences include investigating cell cycle regulated proteins using biochemical methods and antibiotic drug discovery from plant microbiomes.
