Open to all UCLA faculty and postdocs, we seek to identify 8-10 teams to participate in dedicated mentoring with Startup UCLA. This program is a two-quarter "accelerator" focused on pitch development, business strategy, and venture consulting. It is designed to advance innovative academic projects into new startup companies or non-profits. The program culminates in a public Pitch Showcase to the UCLA community and a network of local entrepreneurs and investors. The 2022 program is intended to be hybrid with in-person and Zoom events.
New for the 2022 cohort, we are piloting an opportunity for teams to hire a student intern (paid by IF program) to support their efforts during the 2022 winter and spring quarters. These students -- who have expertise in design, app development, business development, pitch development, and more – would work directly with the members of the IF cohort, overseen by the Startup UCLA team
