Daniel Arce

Daniel joined the TDG as an Innovation Fund Fellow in the Fall of 2024. His work focuses on market analysis, scientific evaluation, and pitch deck creation. Daniel is currently a molecular biology PhD Candidate in Dr. Douglas Black’s lab. His dissertation work will map the regulatory code for intron removal in RNA splicing across the transcriptome. Upon graduation, Daniel would like to apply his background to help develop the RNA drug discovery landscape. 

Juntao Yu

I’m Juntao Yu, an accomplished biologist with a Ph.D. in Medicine from Peking University and currently enrolling a Master of Engineering program from UCLA. Currently an Advisor at Glyco-Therapy Biotech, I oversee quality control, audits technical systems, and provides regulatory strategies across multiple regions, including the US, Europe, and China.

Serena Agrawal

Serena Agrawal joined UCLA TDG as an Innovation Fund Fellow in 2024. She is currently an MBA candidate at UCLA Anderson School of Management with a specialization in healthcare. Prior to joining TDG, Serena held various R&D engineering positions at Becton Dickinson where she designed and launched medical devices such as Snowden Pencer laparoscopic surgical tools, PureWick Urine Collection System, Nexiva NearPort IV catheter, and Alaris IV Infusion systems. She has filed 24 patent applications for a variety of medical innovations over her career. Serena earned her B.S.

Alyssa Ramella

Alyssa Ramella is an MBA candidate at the UCLA Anderson School of Management and holds a bachelor's degree in information technology from Rutgers University. Alyssa is supporting the Technology Development Group as an Innovation Fellow, helping portfolio teams build their go-to-market strategy. Before attending business school, Alyssa worked in go-to-market strategy and technical sales at various technology companies in the cybersecurity and enterprise infrastructure space. 

Ian Bai

Ian Bai is a second-year MBA student at UCLA Anderson School of Management. Before MBA, lan spent 2 years at Deloitte advising private equity clients through M&A due diligence and guiding corporate investors' entry into the China market, with a primary focus on the TMT sector. Ian then worked as a Strategy Manager at Tencent, the leading Chinese technology company, for another 3 years.

Simran Masand

Alexander Wasdahl

Alex is a fifth year PhD candidate in the Information Studies department at UCLA. He is interested in the intersection of automation and media, and he is currently writing his dissertation on the production and consumption of automated journalism. Originally from northeast Ohio, Alex received a B.A. in Government from Dartmouth College in 2016. Before coming to UCLA for graduate school, Alex worked as a software consultant in the Washington, D.C. area. He has also done internships in business analytics and telecommunications research.

Kshitija Shah

Kshitija Shah is a Ph.D. candidate in Civil and Environmental Engineering at UCLA. Her thesis work focuses on developing novel technologies for energy positive wastewater treatment & resource recovery, and the biological transformation of toxic environmental pollutants into less toxic compounds. Kshitija is interested in sustainability, entrepreneurship, and science communication and in her leisure time, enjoys creating science social media content, board games, and reading at a cafe.
