Thomas Lipkin, PhD

Thomas (Tom) Lipkin joined UCLA TDG in 2012 and serves as the Director of the UCLA Innovation Fund. Tom and his team work to further translational research at UCLA by helping identify, fund, and actively manage promising academic projects to meet key industry-specific milestones through an internal philanthropic proof-of-concept fund called the UCLA Innovation Fund. 

Previously, Tom was with Osage University Partners, a venture capital fund that invests exclusively in university-based startup companies. Tom received his B.S. in Biology from Indiana University and his Ph.D. in Cell Biology and Pathology from Columbia University.
