The Los Angeles Bioscience Ecosystem Summit Twenty 24 (LABEST) is the premier showcase for bioscience innovation in Los Angeles County produced by UCLA Technology Development Group (UCLA TDG). This event is a collaboration of ~1,000 participants across the Los Angeles area, including UCLA, Caltech, Cal State LA, City of Hope, USC, and Cedars Sinai. The event’s mission is to promote Los Angeles as a center of excellence for biotech innovation and to foster partnerships between academic institutions, the investment community, and the biopharma industry.
Faculty members present their latest scientific breakthroughs, leading to tomorrow’s critical therapies. Leading bioscience translational research programs and startups will be showcased where Southern California Institutions have significant expertise, pioneering research, and resource commitments directed toward developing innovative patient therapies.

UCLA Technology Development Group (UCLA TDG) is inviting graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, faculty, and research/project scientists from all academic institutions to submit their posters for the upcoming Los Angeles Bioscience Ecosystem Summit Twenty 24 (LABEST) -- the premier showcase for bioscience innovation in Los Angeles County, hosted by UCLA TDG and taking place at the UCLA Luskin Center on Thursday, May 23, 2024.
Individuals who submit a poster will have the opportunity to win 1st and 2nd prizes in each of 5 Research Theme areas (10 total awards):
