I am a current second-year graduate student at the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health earning my Master’s in Public Health - Healthcare Management (Class of 2021). Prior to attending UCLA, I graduated from Santa Clara University (SCU) where I majored in Public Health Science. After graduating from SCU, I worked as a consultant in the health IT sector, focusing on EHR integration and process improvement. I then transitioned into a policy fellowship at AltaMed Health Services within the Government Relations department, where I conducted legislative research. Shortly after, I matriculated at UCLA for my MPH and began working for the UCLA Arthur Ashe Student Health & Wellness Center within the Quality department, performing data analytics and creating QI reports. Prior to joining UCLA TDG, I was a management intern at OptumHealth within the performance improvement department. Although a majority of my background is in the operations and policy side of the healthcare delivery sector, because of my public health education, I have a passion and interest for innovation across the life science industry. As a current New Venture Fellow, my role consists of performing regulatory, scientific, and market due diligence, under the direction of the Medical Device portfolio team.
