Katie White

Katie was appointed as a Technology Fellow in Physical Sciences at TDG in January 2023. She holds a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Florida where she graduated summa cum laude and conducted synthetic organic chemistry research under the supervision of Alexander Grenning. Currently she is a Ph.D. candidate in Materials Chemistry at UCLA working under the guidance of Paul Weiss. 

In her graduate studies, Katie utilizes microscopy at the California NanoSystems Institute to explore the fundamentals of new materials and organoid development. In her role as a TDG fellow, she is responsible for creating market materials for UCLA-developed technologes. Upon completion of her Ph.D. in the summer of 2025, Katie plans to pursue a career in technology transfer and patent law.
