Kan is a 2nd year Full-Time MBA Candidate at the UCLA Anderson School of Management (Class of 2021), where he specializes in Entrepreneurship.
Since the last spring, he has developed wholistic perspectives for the entrepreneurial environment by interning at a Silicon Valley-based accelerator, a Japanese biotech startup and Israeli venture capital firm. His responsibility included connecting dots between large corporates & startups, assistance of fundraising and deal sourcing.
Prior to business school, Kan majored in Economics in college and joined an asset management firm in Japan, where he served as a stock trader. He developed his interest in startups at that time, since his team mostly traded small-mid caps and had a chance to take a closer look at the rising stars.
As a New Venture Fellow at TDG, I am collaborating with portfolio teams to commercialize medical device technologies by conducting market landscape analysis, regulatory & risk assessment, and financial & reimbursement strategy.
